About Hair Extensions
I use only premium, 100% human hair extensions and are seamlessly applied using a keratin protein bond and removed without causing damage to your natural hair. This strand-by-strand method allows for 360-degree range of motion resulting in a natural look and feel. They are easy to style and deliver long-lasting wear. They enhance existing hair by adding fullness, length, and color for a beautiful look.
How are extensions applied?
Extensions are applied using a 100% keratin protein bond. Each bond is attached to a small bundle of human hair. Using a gentle, low-heat technique, each bond is applied to a small section of your natural hair.
How are extensions removed?
You New Image Salon stylist should remove your extensions. A removal tool gently slides the extension off without damaging the natural hair.
Are extensions safe for my hair?
Don't be fooled by common misconceptions about hair extensions. Extensions will not damage your natural hair. Our extensions are 100% human hair with a natural, non-damaging keratin protein bond designed to replicate the chemical structure of natural hair.
How many strands does it take for a full head of hair?
Your stylist will consult with you to determine exactly how many you will need. The style, length, and volume of your natural hair as well as your desired look are all key factors in determining the amount of extensions you'll need. With a partial application of 25-75 strands, you can easily add volume or a specific highlight or lowlight color. A partial application can also correct a bad haircut or an awkward, in-between style. A full application of 100-150 strands can dramatically change your natural hair by adding length, maximizing thickness and volume, or adding a range of highlights and lowlights.
How long does it take to apply extensions?
Are you imagining yourself sitting in a stylist's chair for hours and hours on end? Think again! Gone are the days when extension applications take a full day. Application time depends on the number of strands you are having added and the condition of your natural hair, but full applications generally take 1-4 hours maximum.
How long will do extensions last?
Extensions are designed to last 4 to 6 months with proper prep, installation, and application.
